The manufacturer’s lifetime warranty covers the materials, and our workmanship guarantee covers the installation. Most roof problems trace back to how a roof was installed — which is exactly what our guarantee is built to cover.
Manufacturer’s Lifetime Warranty
We install CertainTeed Landmark shingles, backed by CertainTeed’s Lifetime Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects — including SureStart™ protection in the early years. Because we’re a certified CertainTeed ShingleMaster™, we can register your roof for extended, manufacturer-backed coverage a non-credentialed contractor can’t offer.

What the Guarantee Covers, and What It Doesn’t
Every guarantee has fine print. Ours is short enough to read, and we would rather you know exactly where you stand before you sign than find out later. Here is the plain-language summary of the Lifetime Roof Protection Guarantee.
Our workmanship, for as long as you own the home
- Complete roof replacement projects performed by The Helping Company, LLC
- Defects caused solely by our installation labor: improper fastening, flashing, or sealing
- Roofs installed with the CertainTeed Landmark series, our first-choice shingle
- Repairs to restore the affected workmanship area, with replacement materials of like kind and quality where reasonably available
- Coverage begins on the completion date and stays active while the eligible homeowner owns the property
Materials, weather, and other people’s work
- Roofing materials or manufacturer product performance (handled by the manufacturer’s written warranty)
- Storm, wind, hail, tornado, hurricane, lightning, flood, fallen tree, ice dam, snow load, fire, or other Acts of God
- Structural movement, foundation settlement, improper attic ventilation, condensation, neglect, lack of maintenance, vandalism, animal or pest damage
- Third-party repairs, alterations, roof penetrations, solar, satellite, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or damage by other contractors
- Interior, incidental, consequential, loss-of-use, attorney-fee, or similar damages, to the fullest extent permitted by law
Six things the guarantee asks of you
- Register the warranty within 30 days of completion
- Report suspected leaks or workmanship defects in writing within 30 days of discovery
- Allow us to inspect and complete any covered repair before another contractor performs work
- Maintain the roof, gutters, drains, and surrounding areas in reasonable condition
- Complete our free roof inspection at least once every three years
- Notify us before any roof alteration, penetration, solar, satellite, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work
Filing, selling, and storms
Claims: send written notice describing the suspected workmanship defect and its location, and provide access for inspection.
Transfer: the guarantee may be transferred one time to the next owner if requested in writing within 60 days of sale, subject to our approval, a transfer inspection, and any applicable fee.
Storm damage: workmanship coverage does not apply, but we will inspect storm damage and help you file a properly scoped insurance claim.

What does the Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee cover?
Defects caused solely by The Helping Company's installation labor, such as improper fastening, flashing, or sealing, on complete roof replacements we performed with the CertainTeed Landmark series. If a covered workmanship defect develops and the guarantee has been maintained, we repair the affected area at no labor cost for as long as you own your home.
Does the guarantee cover storm, hail, or wind damage?
No. Storm, wind, hail, fallen trees, ice dams, fire, and other Acts of God are excluded from workmanship coverage, as they are from every contractor's workmanship warranty. Storm damage is what your homeowner's insurance is for, and we will inspect the damage and help you file a properly scoped claim.
Is the guarantee transferable if I sell my home?
Yes, one time. The next owner can request the transfer in writing within 60 days of the sale, subject to our approval, a transfer inspection, and any applicable fee.
Do I need to register the warranty?
Yes. Register within 30 days of completion using the form on this page or by calling 610-234-2210. To keep coverage active you also need to report suspected issues in writing within 30 days of noticing them, let us inspect before another contractor works on the roof, and complete our free roof inspection at least once every three years.
What about the shingles themselves?
Shingle and material performance is covered separately by CertainTeed's Lifetime Limited Warranty, not by our workmanship guarantee. As a CertainTeed ShingleMaster, we can register your roof for the extended manufacturer coverage a non-credentialed installer cannot offer.
How do I file a workmanship claim?
